Holistic psychotherapy rooted in honest connection, movement, and nature-based care.

Integrative therapy where contemplative practice and contemporary techniques meet.

Supporting real growth since 2014. Based in Bozeman, Montana.

In-person and outdoor walk-and-talk therapy sessions in the Bozeman MT.

Exhale.

Move at your own pace.

NOURISH is a place to come as you are.

You’re probably the person who holds everything together for everyone else. The people-pleaser who struggles to say no. The one who smiles through the hard things and keeps going anyway. From the outside, it looks like you’ve got it handled.

Inside feels very different.

The chronic tension that won’t let go. Racing thoughts at 2 a.m. A restlessness you can’t quite name. The lingering doubt or irritability you can’t shake. The endless exhaustion. Or maybe just a quiet knowing that you’ve been living slightly outside of yourself — surviving rather than thriving.

Something cracked it open — a recent loss, a life transition, a relationship ending, a crisis you never saw coming. You know you can’t keep living this way. It’s time for something different.

There’s nothing to prove here.
Just space to be honest about where you are.

This work is different. Not because of a technique or a framework, but because of what becomes possible when we slow down.

At NOURISH, the pace of real growth is honored here, unfolding over time in rhythm, relationship, and connection—with self, others, and nature. Not through pressure, performance, or self-optimization.

This is why 90-minute sessions matter here. Why honest, in-person connection is at the heart of this work. Why nature, movement, safety, and depth are intentionally woven into the experience. These are the conditions that cultivate meaningful, sustainable change. This is not incidental to the practice. This is the practice.

NOURISH is built for what can actually shift.

We don’t ask you to become someone new or do something more. We pay attention to what often goes unnoticed and yet shapes how you move through your life. We reconnect you with what matters most to you. So that you can feel more connected to your own life.

Because the relationship you have with yourself matters.

Have you ever wondered why you keep finding yourself in the same situations, even when you’ve promised yourself it would be different this time? Why some reactions feel almost rehearsed? You’ve read the books. Done “the work.” And yet, you still feel stuck.

Many of my clients are:

  • entrepreneurs or business owners

  • tired parents

  • caregivers and high achievers

  • healthcare professionals

  • athletes and artists

  • highly sensitive individuals

  • everyday humans doing their best

You don’t need to be outdoorsy, athletic, spiritual, or experienced with therapy to benefit from this work. You come as you are.

If you’re longing for more ease and real growth, you’re in the right place.

Hi! I’m Mary Beth, founder of NOURISH. I’m a nature-oriented, trauma-informed, licensed holistic therapist (LCSW) in Montana, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. I created this space for adults who are tired of holding it all together, going through the motions, and simply feeling stretched too thin.

Here, you are allowed to put things down for a while, let the body breathe, and stay with what’s true for you.‍ ‍

Originally from the East Coast and now living beneath Montana’s big sky, nature has long nurtured me and movement has always felt medicinal — simple tools with a quiet power to guide you back to what matters most.

I’ve been in private practice since 2014 and was among the first therapists in New England to bring running therapy into clinical practice. My work integrates relational psychotherapy, EMDR, trauma therapy, somatic therapy, movement, nervous system support, mindfulness, spirituality and nature-based therapy to foster your growth.

It’s purposeful and precise—never performative.

It’s a privilege to share the work that has shaped me so deeply.

I’m glad you’re here.

Integrative therapy, rooted in nature, mind, and body.

Regulation is relational. Mood follows action. Nature nurtures. This is how real growth happens.

We aren’t part of nature, we are nature. Montana’s landscape— the mountains, trees, rivers, wildlife, weather patterns—reminds us that we all exist through relationship, rhythm, and connectedness. Like nature, being human is seasonal, messy, and ever-changing with life moving at different speeds. And none of us can do it alone. Together, we go beneath the surface of wellness and get to the source, so you can begin thriving rather than simply surviving.

Life isn’t about being optimized. You can’t hack your way out of being human.

At NOURISH, it’s about living fully through life’s messy, ever-changing seasons.

There is no protocol that fits everyone. I can’t promise you this work will be easy. Nor will it protect you from pain or the hardships of life. But I do believe this work can bring a bit more ease as you move through your life.

In their words

  • "I have worked with therapists and practiced yoga but Mary Beth bridges a gap between the two."

“I sometimes refer to her as more than a therapist, but also a spiritual advisor. Mary Beth utilizes breathing techniques or mindfulness concepts that I can build upon with my yoga practice which have been beneficial in all areas of my life, especially through difficult times. Mary Beth has helped me take the next step in discovering the person I truly am and finding real happiness within myself.”

    — Alyssa

  • “Working with Mary Beth has fundamentally changed my relationship with myself. "

“Her EMDR intensive helped me process early attachment trauma that was driving patterns in my relationships I couldn’t shift on my own. What I value most is her ability to create safety for deep work while being direct and clear about the process. I went from being driven by old protective patterns to actually experiencing security and connection. For anyone doing serious healing work, Mary Beth provides both the clinical skill and the genuine care that makes transformation possible. ”

    — Michael

  • "If it wasn’t for Mary Beth’s experience, ability to make me feel safe and supported I don’t believe I could have achieved this success."

I had little knowledge of EMDR when Mary Beth brought it to my attention. She explained the process to me and at first it didn’t resonate but having put my complete trust in Mary Beth through our many years of therapy together, I was all in to allow the process to unfold together. Our first session was surreal, from how quickly I was able to dive deep into some hidden emotions, to the very strong sensations I felt in my body. From there each session brought new and unexpected discoveries helping me unpack deep rooted trauma. The process can be exhausting but there is no doubt that I feel stronger and more capable of dealing with my past experiences now and it has provided me with a brighter future. If it wasn’t for Mary Beth’s experience, ability to make me feel safe and supported I don’t believe I could have achieved this success. She has helped me to feel whole again and for that, I will always be grateful.

    — Vickie

  • “…While the exercise feels so good, I’ve come to realize that the walking is so much more than just exercise. The walking is part of the therapy."

“There’s something very calming and soothing about being out in nature and really feeling the elements, letting the sun warm my face or feeling a crisp breeze, that creates a more relaxed experience. Sometimes the walk can feel like a metaphor for what’s going on in my life. Is the path clear? Are there obstacles up ahead? How will I handle those obstacles? Physically seeing the “path” can be very helpful to visualize where I am and where I want to go.  When we “walk something in” I’m physically letting those thoughts and feelings run through me and they become ingrained in a way I wouldn’t necessarily get from sitting in a chair in an office. The repetition of the steps and the words are the punctuation mark on the work we’ve done that day. The natural surroundings create a calm, safe space to be vulnerable in. I sometimes can’t believe the person I’ve become, not really changing but yet changing so much and becoming the best version of myself.”

    — Rebecca, 40

  • “Working with Mary Beth has been a truly transformative experience.”

“She is a gentle teacher who guides and empowers you to find and own your deepest strengths and heal any disconnection between the heart and mind.

Through the work that we have done, I have grown exponentially and identified, accepted, and integrated the lost pieces of my soul that were holding me back and preventing me from living boldly.

Whether you are looking to grow through self-improvement or lay to rest a persistent struggle or trauma, I cannot recommend her enough.”

    — LK

  • “Walking outside with Mary Beth has given me a new, therapeutic way to explore my state of being."

“Engaging in various breathing exercises, walking, observing and listening to the surrounding landscape and wildlife has been calming, has provided me with a fresh perspective on my own thought processes and has brought me a sense of peace unlike the traditional therapy I have utilized previously. With each outdoor session I’ve felt an internal shift toward being more open and I feel more ease in my life now when challenged. THIS is a gift I did not anticipate and I am really grateful for my work with Mary Beth and the opportunity to participate in counseling in this way.”

    — Gregory

  • “We are profoundly grateful for the help Mary Beth gave to our daughter through an unimaginably difficult time for our family."

“We are so pleased with how far she has come and we will always remember the role Mary Beth played in her recovery.  Our daughter (and we by extension) were very fortunate to have Mary Beth as her therapist.”

    — Kelly & John, Parents of a client

  • "I have been to a dozen individuals over the course of my 55 years, from psychiatrists to mental health counselors. Mary Beth is extremely intuitive and compassionate."

“I sought out Mary Beth’s counseling at a very arduous time in my life. My wife was battling a very advanced form of Parkinson’s Disease for 8+ years and was now in a nursing home. With a 12-year-old son to raise in addition to managing a business, things were becoming unbearable. Having found Mary Beth via a friend referral, we embarked on a beautifully holistic and highly professional relationship. The philosophy and approach she takes is very refreshing. I have been to a dozen individuals over the course of my 55 years, from psychiatrists to mental health counselors. Mary Beth is extremely intuitive and compassionate. Through a unique blend of text book psychology, mind - body exercises and inspirational readings (books), she has so helped me. I am very grateful to Mary Beth and highly recommend her services.”

    — Ron

  • "Mary Beth’s Mother Hunger group was nothing short of transformational!"

“She is a true expert on Mother Hunger and an outstanding small group facilitator, holding space for the group with empathy, compassion and nurturance. Working alongside other women in this intimate setting (although something I typically find challenging) was, in fact, incredibly rewarding.  It allowed me (us) to identify common themes shared between us and feel less alone.  If you are ready to understand more about Mother Hunger and learn how to begin addressing the issues this wound can cause in adult life, I highly recommend this group.  It is pertinent whether your mother is still alive or deceased. Thank you, Mary Beth, for your expert support on this most complex yet rewarding journey.”

    — Vicki, Spring 2025 participant

  • “I am so glad that I joined this supportive group led by Mary Beth."

“The moment I walked into our first meeting, I knew I was in a very special healing circle. In this safe, intimate, and comfortable space, we -a small group of women - read, meditated, listened and shared. We talked about our pain and struggles, as well as the excitement and joy for the newly gained wisdom, clarity, and hope. Mother Hunger is THE essential wound for many people. This wound is so deep and old that it’s almost impossible to reach it with our familiar methods of analyzing and conceptualization. Yet, the healing can take place in an earned safe place and safe relationship. And that’s what Mary Beth’s group has provided. Highly recommended!”

    — Jin, fall 2024 and winter 2025 participant

  • “My experience with Mary Beth was wholly positive. She provided a safe space for me to allow myself to process what was frozen within me for so long."

“I learned that what I have been feeling is something common to many women, that there is even a name for it—and that was freeing. Mary Beth’s Mother Hunger group was truly a life changing experience, and I am thankful to have been part of it.”

    — Sarah, winter 2025 participant
